http://www.blogfloat.com is my newest adventure into the podosphere. The site is a social news site meant to let bloggers post links to their blog posts, podcasters post links to their blog posts or episode downloads, new media types to post any news they can find, and heck, we'll even let those video content creators use the site, too. There's also a spot for general tech posts, humor, and a site specific to your news findings on the gadget world!
I hope… Continue
somehow, a while back i managed to create 2 different identities here at Ning. unfortunately, i couldn't remember my login info, thus i haven't been able to delete the extra account ... until tonight. the problem is though ... i think i deleted the wrong one. all of the stuff i had on the page i wanted to keep is now gone. so its possible that its gonna take me a while to get this page back to the way i originally had it set-up.
anyway, thats all. Continue

Hi all. I just launched a new blog called Nerdnology. Nerds + Technology = Nerdnology.
Nerdnology
Not entirely sure what I'm going to do with it but I intend to do some blogging about geeky things. If time ever permits, maybe there'll be a Nerdnology podcast or vidcast...who knows. Anyway, if you're tired of checking thetwistedpickle.com and not seeing any action, it's probably because I'm over at Nerdnology. Stop by, check things out, and embrace your i… Continue
Digg Link
Either somebody at Amazon has a sense of humor or their database designer is off his rocker. I just checked Unbox for a documentary on the history of the F-word. Result #1 was this. I am now starting to understand why my 4-year-old finds SpongeBob so funny.

After 13 years of waiting for the Dropkick Murphys to come through Omaha, they finally did on Wednesday night. The below video was taken by someone about 4 people down from where I was standing. It's nearly the same vantage point I had of the show. The show, by the way, was awesome! Continue
Alright, here's the scoop. Time just doesn't allow for an audio podcast at the moment. I'm home with the kids all weekend and having two is so much more time consuming than 1. I've now come to terms with it, hopefully you'll all understand. But...this doesn't mean that there aren't still weird and funny things going on...things that I like to share.
This being said, I vow to do a bit more blogging. Hopefully those of you who were/are/were/whatever listeners of the Twisted Pickle Show can still… Continue
I've been thinking a lot lately about making the switch to a Mac. If you haven't seen my valiant effort to beg the universe for money yet, check out http://www.helpmeswitch.com.
Well after a recent "whoops, what the heck just happened", which infected this machine with 174 pieces of crapware, spyware, and the like, this beast is running slow. It's even annoying my lovely bride. So I brought up the "I want a Mac" concept again with my wife yesterday and… Continue
Last night it was about 2:30am and I'm up with the baby feeding her a bottle. We've had some severe weather the past week, two nights in a row earlier this week that had the weather guys all over the evening TV instead of regular programming. Yea, I get sick of it, but I understand it. Stuff happens. Weather, especially in tornado alley, can be a big deal.
Anyway, 2:30am, baby bottle, and then the sirens go off. I take my tiny baby girl #2 out to the living room and flip on the tube. Sure enoug… Continue
Desktop Tower Defense v1.5
I have fallen into a sink hole of fun called Desktop Tower Defense. It's simple, it's brilliant, it's difficult and it's fun. I have created a group called "twistedpickle" (no spaces). If you play level Medium, as I do, you can submit your score under your name and get it listed in the "twistedpickle" group. Come join me, come kick my scoreboard butt, and we'll see who's the best of the best at wasting tim… Continue
Hi everyone. Sorry it's been so long since we spoke...been busy being a daddy and a cubical worker bee. Home with the kids today, one's asleep the other's into a Sponge Bob episode so I actually have a few minutes to say hi....HI!
OK, here's how things have been shaking out lately. I'm continuing to write code for my Twitter -ish but different .com. Development is coming along great. I'm just working out a few of the final bugs, which always seem to take the most time. I'm hoping in the next mo… Continue
Progress on my Twitter-like-but-different idea is coming along well. Wish I had 40 hours in a day, though. Staying up late to write code isn't ideal, as I'd rather be playing Fiesta or hanging with the family, but I really think that what I am about to offer is what a lot of users wish Twitter was.
I don't want to give too many details just yet, but imagine if Twitter had filters that would let you pare down messages form folks you follow. Imagine if Twitter let you categorize your posts into m… Continue
